Hi everyone,

Granddaddy Adam Shaw, Sr. took part in raising my daddy, aunts, and uncles.

He understood that he should always be deeply involved in disciplining their sons and daughters because they listened better to him than to grand mama, with shining exceptions. In other words, he knew that grand mama gave orders, several times, before they were implemented, but he had father authority, spoke once, and the chore was completed. Hence, judging by my grandparents, punishment and whippings should be well-paced and implemented by fathers and mothers.

Thus, today, punishment and disciplining children should be a joint and kind venture between parents and children because mothers need the knowledge and the authoritative voice of their husband.
