Hi everyone,

One of their two days at our house, we took them to our famed Virginia Beach oceanfront to shop and walk on the oceanfront boardwalk. They all had lots of fun, and I knew Daddy was happy to be on vacation and walk on a beach boardwalk the first and only time. What a joy to give him that experience!

Yet, Daddy had an odd behavior. The Shaw-Boykin family always prayed or said grace at mealtime. While Daddy was staying with me, we served seven meals, but he would not pray or say grace over the food. I also noticed that, when the doorbell rang, Daddy looked toward the front door. I knew he was expecting Mama to visit because it was our family reunion.

But she was not the one who came through our door. Then, what?
